Services

The AHC’s core service is providing low income housing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, although we are known in the community as a one stop shop.  The AHC has always been open to helping any person in need, regardless of their colour, gender or background, and provides a variety of services for both our tenants and the community.

These services include:

• Affordable Housing
• Social Housing for low income
• Grassroots family connection support
• Information sessions for student groups/projects
• Housing support letters
• Justice of Peace
• Community Gymnasium – www.redferngym.com.au (closed for the Pemulwuy redevelopment)
• Referral to relevant support agencies e.g. youth services, crisis housing

Support Letter Process

• Clients are to book an appointment with the front desk
• Appointments can only be made on Wednesdays
• 1st Appointment scheduled for 30mins -1hr
• 2 days notice is required for letters
